Kisha Houston is the principal of Matteson Elementary School. Her career in Matteson School District 162 began in 1996 as a second grade teacher at Matteson Elementary School. She has worked with students in kindergarten through eighth grade and served as a classroom teacher for 18 years.
In addition to her classroom experience, Mrs. Houston has served as a Library Media Specialist and an Assistant Principal and values building strong relationships with students and families across the district.
Mrs. Gonzalez-Castillo is the Assistant Principal at Matteson Elementary School and has been in education for 16 years, beginning her career as a Special Education teacher on the south side of Chicago.
She has served as an instructional coach, assistant principal, and in district leadership roles. Her work is rooted in continuous improvement, challenging the status quo, and ensuring students and adults receive the very best.
